I honestly didn’t think it was as memorable as some of the other deaths in the series. They got to do awesome things and both got closure, but it’s hard to comprehend how painful it was for Haru. Meanwhile, Haru wanted to find his dad, but there was nowhere near as much emotion attached to his reveal and death. Then he witnesses Igneel be brutally murdered by a creature he knows he can’t stop only minutes after finding out he was inside of him the entire time. Lucy only meets him because he was looking for Igneel. Natsu has spent 7 years of his life looking for Igneel. However, I think that losing Igneel was worse for Natsu than losing Gale was for Haru. Gale fought the main villain of the arc with Haru, met Elie, told Haru about their past and ended up saving Haru from dying. However, Natsu just found Igneel, they fought seperate people and Igneel died. Sure both Natsu and Haru lost their dads. I want to to talk about the main characters losing their dads. Sieghart wasn’t brainwashed as a child by someone who would later join his group of heroes and then led multiple people into slavery. I don’t remember when Musica pretended to be evil to help take down a group of villains. I don’t recall an arc in Rave Master where the Rave Warriors find alternate versions of themselves and take down the king of an evil dimension. Besides, I don’t remember the arc in Fairy Tail where Team Natsu help protect an underwater kingdom. The other is about a boy who tries to protect his friends. One is about a boy who tries to save the world. However, Fairy Tail is, in fact, a different series from Rave Master. Yes, some events are almost identical, save differences in name. Yes, Plue is originally from Rave Master. Yes, many of the characters share very clear parallels with each other. Fairy Tail and Rave Master are not the same series. And in honor of Rave Week and finally completing the manga, I’ve decided to give my thoughts on the two series. There has been a lot of talk about Rave Master from fans of the series who also follow Mashima’s other popular work, Fairy Tail. It lasted 6 years, 35 volumes and almost 300 chapters. Yes, Hiro Mashima’s debut series, Rave Master. That’s right! I’m talking about Death Note!įunny story, I almost didn’t go through with it. I only decided I should because my library had most of the volumes and I was going through other manga series. I can say without a doubt, this is one of the best things I have ever read. Please check her blog out if you haven’t already!Ī few months ago, I decided to read what would become my favorite manga series of all time. If you follow me, you can probably guess which one.Īlso, special thanks to little-dragneel for being a huge influence on me starting Rave in the first place. I only plan on talking about one other series other than Fairy Tail and Rave Master on this blog in this depth. I can count on my fingers the amount of posts I have done that aren’t Fairy Tail related at all in any way. I have done my best to keep this blog mainly about Fairy Tail. Thank you all the people who saw this coming and said nothing. My Incredibly Unpopular Thoughts on: Fairy Tail and Rave Master
